Common Questions

Do I need a prescription to buy a travel CPAP in Canada?

Yes. A valid prescription is required for travel CPAP (APAP/CPAP) devices in Canada. Keep your Rx and itemized receipt if you plan to claim private benefits.

Can I fly with a travel CPAP and battery?

Yes. CPAP devices are allowed in carry-on as medical equipment. Pack the machine in your carry-on, bring your prescription/doctor’s note, and keep lithium batteries in carry-on (not checked). Check your airline’s battery watt-hour limits.

Will my current mask work with a travel CPAP?

Often yes, but some travel machines such as the AirMini need specific adapters or tubing. Check the product’s Compatibility section or ask us to confirm before purchasing.

Do travel CPAP machines have humidification?

Many rely on waterless humidification cartridges; some support optional heated humidifiers. Review “What’s included” and the Accessories tab for cartridge availability and replacement intervals.

How loud are travel CPAPs compared to home units?

Modern travel CPAPs are designed to be quiet, though acoustics can feel different in a small form factor. Check the dBA rating on each product page and consider a soft tubing to reduce vibration.
