Sizing: use the brand’s guide/printable sizing instructions for best results. Most guides will ask you to measure from the nose bridge to below the lower lip; if between sizes, try the two adjacent options. For hybrid/under-the-nose full-face designs, select primarily by nose width and mouth coverage.
Fit & leaks: fit reclined with airflow on; lift/re-seat, then snug the lower straps to stop leaks at the mouth corners. Keep upper straps moderate to reduce bridge pressure. With facial hair, keep it dry at bedtime and consider a fabric liner.

Cushion: every 60–90 days (1–3 months). Replace sooner if leaks persist after cleaning, silicone turns glossy/tacky, or you’re tightening straps more than usual.

Headgear: every 6–12 months—earlier if straps stretch or Velcro won’t hold.

Frame/elbow/clips: every 6–12 months, or immediately if cracked, noisy, or leaking.
